UNIQUE case studies in concrete repair & pavement preservation.
Check out 2 demos and a range of projects showing misc. applications of UPM® mix around the country. See how UPM® mix is used to extend the life of pavement that has all sorts of serious problems
UPM® used as a roadway shim. Pothole repaired and then expanded repair site to test UPM® to act as shim. Needed to raise elevation of pavement in worn wheel track.

UPM® used in new application. “Crocodile Cracking Cap” effectively stopped progression of severe cracking where cracks are too dense to use a crack-filler. UPM® has no sidewall to bond with; however, the adhesion properties enable solid repair with tapered edges.

Lexington, KY Municipal Garage
UPM® Permanent Pavement Repair Material used at the Highway Management facility in the City of Lexington Kentucky. This repair was made in a 4’ x 5’ x 4” deep repair area during a rain event without removing water from the hole. UPM® Permanent Pavement Repair Material’s anti-stripping qualities allow for application and compaction in repair areas completely full of water. Trucks immediately began driving on repair area.

This repair was made at the entrance to a gas station in Vancouver, WA. Heavy traffic in and out over the same area had created a very deep pothole. Previous repairs had all failed within weeks, even sooner after a typical Northwest rain shower. After all the loose debris was removed from the bottom of the hole, UPM® was installed WITHOUT REMOVING THE WATER! The material was installed in two lifts of 2 inches each and compacted with truck tires. The picture to the right is that same repair 1 YEAR LATER!
